Mechanic Bids may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from Mechanic Bids and its affiliates.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

Mechanic Bids does not sell, rent, or lease its customer lists to third parties.

Mechanic Bids may share data with trusted partners to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or text messages, process payments, or provide customer support. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to Mechanic Bids, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.

Mechanic Bids may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with the legal process served on Mechanic Bids or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Mechanic Bids; and/or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Mechanic Bids, or the public.

Payment Information

Card payments on the Site, including credit purchases, subscription plans, repair job deposits and tow payments, are processed by Stripe, Inc. Your card details are entered on and stored by Stripe. Mechanic Bids does not see or store your full card number or security code. Stripe's use of your information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy (stripe.com/privacy).

We keep records of payments made through the Site, including purchases, card holds, deposits, cancellation fees, refunds, disputes and payouts, together with the related job, the users involved and the dates and amounts. We use these records to run jobs and tow requests, pay Mechanics and Tow Drivers, handle cancellations, refunds and disputes, prevent fraud, and meet our tax, accounting and legal obligations.

Mechanics and Tow Drivers who set up payouts provide their bank account, identity and tax details directly to Stripe through Stripe's secure onboarding. Mechanic Bids receives only the status of the payout account and the limited details needed to send payouts.
